The Christmas madness has begun and NOWHERE does the madness like Dublin. I worked in Brown Thomas one Christmas a few years ago and I remember it being absolute mayhem! To be honest I really think people go a bit over board in Ireland, but I do love the buzz of it all! This year is the first time I'll be away for Christmas so I'm soaking up the atmosphere while I'm here . When I decided to put together this gift guide I wanted to showcase some new Irish brands that you mightn't know about. Supporting local businesses is something I think we need to more of - and you'll always get something really different, quirky and probably at a much better price than if you were to go elsewhere. Below are a few of the gifts I personally think would put earn you some brownie points this year. Gym Plus Coffee Hats These beanies are an awesome present for your friend that's mad into fitness. Gym Plus Coffee are a new Athleisure brand designed in Ireland and is proving to be very popular among the fitness community here with the logo becoming more and more recognisable. They have a full range of fitness wear from hoodies to hats which is really really high quality and even the cutest coffee keepcups I've ever seen!(these would also be a perfect gift!) See the link below to shop the full range. gympluscoffee.com/ Lovelift Bangles If there's anything that always goes down well with the girls in your life whether it be your mum, sister, best friend or girlfriend it's a meaningful piece of jewellery - but that come with a hefty price tag that not everyone can come up with. I came across this new Irish brand just last week and its simply stunning, but all of the pieces have a really nice messages behind them which I love and they're super affordable! Lovelift is a brand created by Holly Carpenter that represents love, support & positive energy. Each carefully selected message on the packaging promotes positivity, self love & empowerment My favourite are the bangles but there is a full range which you can shop below! lovelift.ie/ ClusexNegin Gift Box This is the Christmas present I wasn't(just thought I'd put it out there haha) - I've been lusting after this watch since it was launched a few weeks ago. Cluse watches are a classic - so minimalist and elegant that they add a little class to any look. The ClusexNegin watch comes with two straps - one being rose gold, while the other is a velvet dusty pink. It's beautiful. It also comes in a gorgeous gift box making it even more impressive to gift. Shop the watch below cluse.com/model/negin-gift-box The New 3 Fit Box Another one for the fitness fanatics. - such a cool idea I'm almost raging I didn't come up with the idea myself! This is basically a box containing a variety of Health & Fitness goodies in one really cool box every month - from gym gear to fitness clothing, healthy snacks, supplements & even the chance to try products first before they launch anywhere else. They have a Christmas edition for December with extra stuff inside and is all wrapped up and ready to gift. If you live in Ireland/Northern Ireland then you will know that Jackets are a necessity whatever the season, so I love updating my wardrobe for Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer with new jackets and coats. Here are the 7 coats I'll be wearing this AW season. 1) Faux Fur Pink and fluffy, it shouldn't work but it totally does! This H&M showstopper is sold out but I'll be checking every day until I spy it. This will look amazing with a white shirt and cropped flare jeans. 2) Shearling Every woman in the world probably owns the trench coat, the colour of this coat is so versatile. I particularly love this And Other Stories coat because of the double layer. Perfect for casual wear or dressy! 3) Trenchcoat Every woman in the world probably owns the trench coat, the colour of this coat is so versatile. I particularly love this And Other Stories coat because of the double layer. Perfect for casual wear or dressy! 4) Leather Leather Jackets have gotten super jazzy for AW17! We've seen embroidered, now we have embellished. This Mango jacket is perfect for any rocker (or any girl who craves to be one). Super cool with skinny jeans and pointed stilettos. 5) Parka I'm loving Topshops AW range at the moment, and this every day Parka is a great addition for your casual wardrobe. Picture this with mom jeans and will look great with flat boots or trainers. 6) Blazer Another wardrobe staple - the Blazer. This ASOS Yellow Blazer is perfect for brunettes, and although the colour would be deemed "summery" pack on a scarf with this and it works for AW. 7) Statement/ Printed The ultimate pattern for AW is tartan and River Island are rocking it!The red colour will suit every hair colour and looks great with dark denim and black.
